So my Adagio tea package came in today! I am so excited for this tea.
On first whiff it smells very nice. I can really smell the spices from the chai and there is a faint undertone of the chocolate. All and all it smells quite wonderful.
So the tea smells nice seeped…but less fragrant than in the bag, I can no longer pick out the different spices and the subtle chocolate sent.
Drinking it straight was nice, if a little mostly black tea feeling, I lost a lot of the chai spices. After adding a bit of milk it was a little less bitter but I still never got the cinnamon, cloves, or ginger I wanted.
I am hoping that if I try to make this in a traditional chai style it might be better. Any tips for way to make this taste as good as it smells? I like it but I just want to taste a little more of the different notes it has in it.
But as it stands now my first cup was a B…hopefully I can make it an A with a little bit of experimenting.
